The rain which fell on the city-province of Kinshasa on Tuesday, November 26, caused at least one death and several material damages in certain municipalities.

In some neighborhoods, walls of houses collapsed. This is the case in Maluku and Ndjili Brasseries. In the Mikondo district of Nsele, a wall fell on a five-year-old girl around 11 p.m. and caused her death.

Flooding was recorded in several neighborhoods, even in the city center.

In Selembao, erosion has evolved according to its mayor. This is particularly the case in the Ngafani district.

Rain damage is recurrent in the Congolese capital, aggravated by haphazard construction and the lack of cleaning of gutters and waterways.

More than 300 houses were completely flooded on the Sikotra Lokali site in the commune of Nsele, following the torrential rain which fell on Tuesday November 5 in Kinshasa.
