Drones have been spotted near US bases in the United Kingdom on several occasions since November 20, including Monday evening, the US Air Force said on Tuesday, clarifying that they were not considered hostile .

Monday evening, the number of drones “fluctuated and varied depending on the bases”indicated a spokesperson for the American Air Force in Europe, in a press release sent to AFP by the services of the Mildenhall base, in eastern England. It is one of three bases, along with RAF Lakenheath and RAF Feltwell, near which drones have been spotted since November 20.

“No impact on residents or base infrastructure”

The US Air Force said on Monday that “small unmanned aerial systems” had been observed “near and above” of these bases “between November 20 and 24”. On Tuesday, the US Air Force clarified that there was no “had no impact on residents or base infrastructure” and that the drones had not “not been identified as hostile”.
