Terrible accident on a Florida beach. A woman was seriously injured in absolutely abominable circumstances, reports Fox News.
The victim was hit in the leg
According to our colleagues, the unfortunate woman and her family were at the water’s edge in Cocoa Beach when the accident occurred. For a reason that is still unexplained, their parasol came loose from the sand and impaled the leg of the woman who was peacefully sunbathing, police said.

The emergency services, who were quickly mobilised to the scene, were forced to use wire cutters to remove the canvas because the parasol continued to move while it was stuck in the victim’s leg. The current state of health of the victim has not been communicated by our colleagues.
A spectacular accident, but far from being a first. In 2023, a woman was killed in the United States after a poorly secured parasol impaled itself in her chest.
