At a time when the National Rally is causing concern in several constituencies especially in France, the 9th abroad, particularly in Dakar, is holding up. The deputies of the 9th constituency representing France abroad distinguished themselves during the legislative elections, the provisional results of the first round of which were made public. In Dakar, the number of registered voters at the close of voting was 17,363, with 4,354 of the votes cast, or 25.08%. Karim Ben Cheikh, the sole candidate of the New Popular Front, who came out on top in Dakar as in other countries in the 9th constituency, who came out on top with 2,317 votes. He was followed by Macronist Samira Djouadi, 54, representing the “Ensemble” coalition with 686 votes. Third place was occupied by the National Rally (RN) with deputy Elodie Charron. The latter is a candidate for the 9th constituency (Algeria, Ivory Coast, Tunisia, Senegal, Morocco, Mauritania, Niger, Burkina, Guinea, Gambia, etc.). Elodie Charron ends up with 580 votes. The Republican candidate, Jihad Badreddine, comes out with 139 votes. Ismaël Boudjekada obtains 125 votes in Dakar. Let us recall that the coalition of the left is formed with a view to fierce opposition to the parties of the presidential majority supporting Emmanuel Macron as well as to the National Rally of Jordan Bardella.
