It's a trip that pays off big. After his exile in Spain and his failed attempt to return to French political life, former Prime Minister Manuel Valls rented his services in Bahrain where a three-day trip in July earned him no less than 30,000 euros, according to a revelation from Mediapart.
In Manama, from July 22 to 24, Manuel Valls would have been part, according to the online media, of a delegation of consultants, also made up of lawyers, a researcher in geopolitics and a former communications manager of the PNF.
A mission linked to a PNF investigation
The contract with the consulting company of the former tenant of Place Beauvau (Binidali Conseil MV) would have been signed by an intermediary, the former royal family lawyer, Philippe Feitussi. Better : “The funds which made it possible to finance the initiative – excluding travel costs (planes, hotel, etc.), directly covered by the kingdom – were paid by an offshore company registered in Hong Kong. Under a pseudonym, to hide its owners, including Me Feitussi refuses to give identity »reports the title. Nothing to dissuade Manuel Valls, nor the nature of the Bahraini regime.
The on-site mission would have officially consisted of enlightening the authorities on the issues surrounding the opening by the National Financial Prosecutor's Office (PNF) of a preliminary investigation into a case between Bahrain and Qatar. A procedure initiated following a report by Modem MP Philippe Latombe for possible acts of corruption of magistrates of the International Court of Justice (ICJ), who in 2001 rendered a ruling on the sharing of territorial waters around the islands Hawar favorable to Qatar. An approach undertaken by the parliamentarian, according to the investigative media, on the good advice of… Philippe Feitussi. The circle is closed.
