Israel continues its strikes on Lebanon. At least six people, including three children, were killed on Saturday November 16 and 11 others were injured in a “raid by the Israeli enemy” on a village in eastern Lebanon, reported the Lebanese Ministry of Health, which specifies that two injured people are in a “critical condition”. According to the official news agency ANI, the six dead are all from the same family.
Almost at the same time, the official Lebanese press agency reported on Saturday evening an Israeli strike “very violent” on the Haret Hreik district, in the southern suburbs of Beirut, targeted throughout the day by a series of bombings. On Saturday morning, the Israeli army announced that it had carried out a series of strikes on buildings in the southern suburbs of Beirut against “Hezbollah terrorist structures”.
A strike on a central district of the city of Tyre. The raid took place near an archaeological site housing Roman ruins listed as a UNESCO world heritage site, according to the Lebanese national information agency (Ani). “The raid on Tire targeted the 'ruins district', resulting in the destruction of two buildings and damage to other surrounding buildings”specified ANI. The district in question is located near the ancient hippodrome of Tyre, in southern Lebanon. Unlike the strikes on the capital Beirut, these were not preceded by calls to evacuate.
Israel claims to have struck “more than 160 terrorist targets” in the last 24 hours. This assessment includes the bombings carried out in Lebanon and the Gaza Strip. The Israeli army claims to have targeted weapons depots, “terrorists” and their infrastructure, as well as rocket launches in southern Lebanon targeting northern Israel.
The Israeli army continues its assaults in the Gaza Strip. In the Gaza Strip, the Israeli army explains that it is continuing its attacks in the areas of Jabaliya, Beit Lahia and Rafah. “Over the past day, forces have eliminated numerous terrorists, destroyed terrorist infrastructure and located numerous weapons and explosives”she says.
