Like almost everywhere in Senegal, the Muslim community of Médinatoul Cheikh Abdou Khadr Jeylani not far from Sagne Mbambara (Kaolack) celebrated the festival of Eid El Kébir this Sunday.

The Caliph of the late Sheikh Mouhidine Samba Diallo on earth, Sheikh Ibrahima Diallo brought his sermon on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, freedom of expression and an invitation to the new regime of President Diomaye and his PM Sonko to tolerance and to respond with concrete actions to develop the country.

On the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Sheikh Ibrahima Diallo will say: “As we celebrate this great Muslim holiday, our Palestinian parents are suffering the worst atrocities in the face of Israeli bombings.” He wanted to challenge the ICC in the face of these persecutions which, according to him, flout laws on respect for human rights before denouncing the culpable lack of will of world powers and certain international organizations to resolve this conflict.

Regarding freedom of expression of the press, the Caliph of Medinatoul Sheikh Abdou Khadr Jeylani is of the opinion that “no country has developed without good democracy and freedom of expression. For a country to be able to get on the path to development, freedom of expression must be respected in addition to pluralist thinking. He also invites the new regime to be tolerant, to work towards meeting the expectations of the populations through actions and the realization of their development project.
