Do you remember the time when we voted FOR and not AGAINST?

The time when the candidates were big names? Inspiring individuals?

Today, you look at the political landscape in Canada, , England and the United States, and blah.

Harris and Trump, really?

Is that all the Americans have found to lead them?

As I wrote the other day, a woman who says nothing and a man who says anything?

A Democrat who breaks down open doors and a Republican who encouraged cuckoo clocks to break down the closed doors of the Capitol?

“Vote for me, I’m not Trump,” Harris repeated during the campaign.

In short, vote AGAINST the other and not FOR me.

She herself had difficulty defining herself! She herself didn’t know why Americans had to vote FOR her!

THE BABOUNE

As the saying goes: “Difficult times create strong individuals, strong individuals create prosperous times, prosperous times create weak individuals, and weak individuals create difficult times…”

The American economy is doing well. Alright.

“The American economy is stronger than ever”, headline The Economist on October 17.

Like a rocket, “it makes the economies of other rich countries bite the dust” and “is the envy of the whole world”.

“We can only marvel at the strength of the American economy,” headlined the same magazine on March 14.

“It defies all expectations, even the unemployment rate is at its lowest for the 25th month in a row. We are talking about economic growth equivalent to double that of Europe, and ten times that of Japan!”

Is the famous saying true?

Is it because the times are so prosperous that the presidential candidates are so weak?

And if the economy is doing so well, why do Americans seem so angry?

What are they complaining about?

Their country has never been so well in 50 years!

Even the economic situation of blacks has greatly improved!

So what’s the problem?

«Why the long face?, as we say in English?

Why the baby?

THE WORLD OF ELON MUSK

All psychologists say it: social media undermine users’ self-esteem.

People who spend their time on social media become anxious, paranoid, and feel like everyone else is living a better life than them.

They develop a twisted view of the world that has nothing to do with reality.

Is this what is happening?

Social media “playing” in our heads? Fuel our anger? Are we locked into binary logic? Fuel resentment and confrontation?

No wonder the quality of candidates drops.

Who wants a career in politics with these open sewers that convey lies and insults 24 hours a day, seven days a week?

“The media transforms society,” said Canadian thinker Marshall McLuhan. “They shape society in their image.”

It is no longer politicians who shape society now.

These are Facebook, Google, X, Instagram and TikTok.

It gives what it gives.

«It’s Elon Musk’s World. We just live in it.»
