Spanish police announced on Wednesday the record seizure of 13 tonnes of cocaine in an Andalusian port. The drugs were camouflaged among bananas in a container coming from Ecuador.
Lines and lines of boxes were exposed on Wednesday, under the watchful eye of law enforcement.
This record seizure – 13 tonnes of cocaine – was carried out on October 14 in the port of Algeciras, in Andalusia. The container in question was intended “for a Spanish importer who had been receiving, for years, large quantities of fruit from Ecuador”, the police said.
