How to follow the American election in Geneva?

The “Tribune de Genève” is organizing a special nighttime live on the American presidential election. Local Democrats are also planning an election night.

This Tuesday, American citizens are called to the polls to choose their future president. Who, between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump, will lead the world’s leading power for the next four years? The election promises to be extremely close.

For the Genevans, we will have to wait until Wednesday morning to see things more clearly. But the bravest (and night owls) will still be able to keep up to date. All night long, the “Tribune de Genève” will offer you a live tracking. State-by-state results, general trends, reporting from the heart of Arizona, it’ll all be there! We will also be present at the election evening organized by the Geneva Democrats to tell you about this unique event minute by minute.

On the Republican side, no event is planned. The “Republicans Overseas” (editor’s note: Overseas Republicans) have not reserved a room and the few members we contacted say they want to follow the election at home. The unease is palpable: a good number of Republicans established in Geneva do not support Donald Trump. When contacted, some members even told us they intended to vote blank or even for Kamala Harris…
