On May 13, Moldovan police arrested a young man responsible for the murder of a woman in her seventies. During the arrest at the suspect’s home, the officers did not expect to find a man buried at the bottom of his garden.

His attacker had stabbed him during an argument and thought he was dead.

On May 13 in Glodeni, Moldova, the police intervened in the murder of a 74-year-old woman. The same day, a suspect was identified by officers, who arrested him. It concerns a young boy of 18, drunk and close to the septuagenarian, reports The Daily Mail.

Seriously injured

As Moldovan police searched his home, officers heard screams coming from the garden below. They began digging and found a “makeshift vault” in which a seriously injured 62-year-old man was trapped.

Fully filmed, the rescue operation made it possible to extract the sixty-year-old from the ground. He had an injury to his neck. Questioned by police, the man said he had spent nearly four days in the underground vault after an argument with the 18-year-old boy who was part of his family.

The man told police that he and the young man drank alcohol together on Saturday and began arguing.

“He cried for help for four days”

During the altercation, the young man brandished a knife and stabbed the sixty-year-old who lost consciousness. Believing him dead, the boy then locked him in the vault and buried him at the bottom of his garden.

When man regained consciousness underground, “he cried for help for four days“, according to his statement to the police. Hospitalized, he must receive treatment.

The suspect for his part was arrested and charged with murder and attempted murder.
