follow the damage caused by the storm in Florida in real time (videos)

Cameras placed at several sites in Florida make it possible to see the evolution of Hurricane Milton. This category 5 storm, considered the “worst in a century”, can thus be followed live.

Images that promise to be impressive, to be followed closely using surveillance cameras.

Announced as what could be “the worst storm” to hit Florida “in a century”, according to American President Joe Biden, Hurricane Milton continues to approach the southeast of the United States in maximum category this Wednesday, where it should make landfall during the night, around 1 a.m. local time, which corresponds to 7 a.m. French time.

This extraordinary storm can be followed live via a system of four webcams positioned in several locations across the state such as Clearwater Pier Beach in Tampa Bay, Florida Beach, Sand Key and even Park Ocean.

As a reminder, Milton has been considered a category 5 hurricane since Tuesday evening, the highest rank.

Fueled by the very warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico, its strength should continue to fluctuate according to meteorologists at the National Hurricane Center.

To avoid massive and disorganized evacuations, some counties have opened shelters to withstand such a storm.

In Flager, one of the smallest counties in Florida, gymnasiums with fairly solid structures were requisitioned to house the population. Floridians have been able to take refuge there since 8 a.m. local time, according to Florida Politics. This phenomenon is common in other American counties located near the passage of the hurricane.
