As a reminder, last week, this immersion in the ruthless world of politics did not meet with the expected success. Indeed, episodes 3 and 4 attracted only 1.47 and 1.28 million viewers respectively, or audience shares of 7.6% and 7.5%. This result places the series well behind the third issue of France has incredible talent and the grand finale of the first season of the series Les Experts: Las Vegas – which will indeed have a season 2.

They thus clarified whether these scenes were recorded in these places of power: “We did not film at the Presidential Palace, however, we did film some sequences at the National Assembly.” And that's not all! The production also confirms that the cameos with journalists Anne-Sophie Lapix and Laurent Delahousse were indeed filmed on the set of the legendary France 2 television news.

During this exchange, the producers of In the shadows also returned to the impressive scenes of the presidential meeting of Paul Francoeur (Melvin Poupaud) which were filmed at the Gayant Expo, located in : “The second meeting, which is truly spectacular, was successful thanks to a subtle mix of special effects but above all filming and editing work: We had a few hundred extras who we inserted into something larger while using the rushes of a real meeting to give the impression of a crowd to fill this room with 3,000 or 4,000 seats.” And to conclude with a particularly amusing anecdote: “We filmed the day after a Michel Polnareff concert. The series teams even took over his dressing rooms.”
