young seniors looking for love with “Golden Bachelor” on M6

In 2003, M6 launched the “Bachelor”, a reality TV show in which an attractive single man searched for true love among twenty or so suitors. This program, already presented by Stéphane Rotenberg, had attracted a good audience in its first years. In 2023, TF1 tackled a “fifty-something” version, hosted by Hélène Mannarino, “Ma mère, ton père, l’amour et moi”, where we followed eight single parents aged 50 in search of love, who were helped in this task by their own children. This fall 2024, M6 is doing it again with a show dedicated to young seniors, “Le Golden Bachelor”.

This program, scheduled for early July, had suffered the dissolution of the National Assembly. Here it is at last. The public will discover Landry, 60 years old, originally from Saint-Germain-en-Laye (). He became an entrepreneur at 31 in collaboration with his wife. At 42, she died and he found himself alone raising their three children: two sons aged 13 and 7 and a little girl aged 2. After a long reconstruction, he decided, in 2020, to slow down and give himself some free time, by selling his business. Living with his 20-year-old daughter, he now feels ready to meet love.

The production offers him to meet twenty women his age, to welcome them in a magnificent farmhouse, to exchange with them in the hope of finding among them the soul mate. From the beginning, Landry shows class, kindness, listening.

And, on the female side, some are not afraid, making a move on him from their first exchange like the Spanish Raquel, Carmela or Alina. Others will choose other methods to attract Landry into their net. Each show will be punctuated by the rose ceremony and the departure of several contenders.

Landry, always very well-groomed, is getting ready for a date.
