Cyril Hanouna makes his media comeback and launches his new radio show, broadcast on Europe 1 : We are walking on our heads. If the columnists present around the are used to rubbing shoulders with the star presenter of C8 (Gilles Verdez, Valérie Benaïm, Guillaume Genton…), a new figure is installed on the set. She is presented as “the right in the show”. This is Thaïs d’Escufon. Her CV is explicit: former spokesperson for the Génération Identitaire movement, dissolved in 2021 by Gérald Darmanin, following a shock action to block migrants in the Pyrenees; involved in Éric Zemmour’s campaign in 2022; anti-feminist YouTuber, attached to traditional home values.

Thaïs d’Escufon had already crossed paths with Cyril Hanouna. The day after the dissolution of Génération Identitaire, she had been invited onto the show Balance ton post ! Subsequently, she was received many on the sets of Hanouna, notably in its flagship show Don’t touch my post! The arrival of this personality considered as a far-right figure will obviously spark a new controversy, around the most sanctioned presenter in the media space. The new show We are walking on our heads had taken his first steps during a two-week trial period, during the campaign for the last legislative elections. This short period was enough for Arcom to warn the presenter for lack of “measure and honesty”.
