Throughout his opening monologue, Jimmy Fallon fired arrow after arrow into the hat that made headlines all day. Melania Trump has indeed been the subject of countless mockery, with many claiming that she had chosen this outfit to prevent Donald Trump from kissing her.
“It’s not just a hat, it’s Melania’s personal border wall,” Jimmy Fallon joked to a laughing audience.
-“People didn't know if she was there for the inauguration or to kill Indiana Jones,” added the host during the same segment, in addition to comparing the look of the first lady to that of the Pique-Assiette, mascot of McDonald's restaurants known in the United States as Hamburglar.
Among other American late-night talk show hosts, Jimmy Kimmel compared Melanie Trump's outfit to a gothic version of an Al Capone costume, while Stephen Colbert opted for a parallel with that of the fictional character by Carmen Sandiego.
