Censorship: LFI warns the PS that it is Retailleau who will write the rest: News

La insoumise warned the PS on Monday that if it does not censor François Bayrou on the budget, “the rest” of the government’s policy “will be written” with the very right-wing Minister of the Interior Bruno Retailleau who announced his intention to “touch” state medical aid.”

“You will see that what happens next will be with Mr. Retailleau,” declared the chairman of the Finance Committee Eric Coquerel on Public Senate.

“The government will rely on other groups, notably the National Rally, to pass what is announced” Bruno Retailleau (LR), for example restrictions on state medical aid, a system allowing foreign nationals without a regular residence permit in France to seek treatment.

In addition to his desire to “touch” the AME, Bruno Retailleau also said he was in favor on Sunday of the creation of ethnic statistics in France “on one condition, which is that we do not use them for positive discrimination”.

This is “what the Socialist Party will allow to happen if it does not vote for censorship”, insisted the Insoumis MP.

In fact, Place publique MEP Raphaël Glucksmann admitted on Sud radio that the question of censorship would arise if the government decided to touch the AME.

“It is clear, we have formulated it from the beginning, there will be no new immigration law and we must not touch state medical aid,” he declared, while specifying that he could not commit on behalf of the socialist group in the National Assembly.

The First Secretary of the PS, Olivier Faure, had already criticized the remarks of the Minister of the Interior on Sunday, accusing him of being “agreeing with ethnic statistics but then only for discriminatory purposes, especially not to serve to correct the inequalities detected.
