A shocking but necessary confession. In his book entitled “Revelation(s), 13 seasons and after?”, Christophe Licata looks back on the stormy behind the scenes of the last edition of “Dancing with the Stars”. The dancer who evolved with Inès Reg reveals his truth about the huge clash with Natasha St-Pier and assures that he experienced a real “ injustice » with his partner. “ We had the best grades with Inès. There was a big gap with the others. Once Keiona was eliminated, I thought we had a highway. And winning thanks to our level would have been the best answer after everything that happened » rails the 38-year-old choreographer Parisian : « We were the best, period “. Moreover, Christophe Licata says he was attacked in the middle of the street during this clash which took on enormous media proportions: “ People fell on me and started hitting me. Fortunately, witnesses intervened and scared them away. But I didn’t tell my wife, my family, the production or the police ».

“I questioned myself a lot”
For the dancer, this is the most “ scary » of “DALS” that he had to live. He says he lived in an atmosphere similar to “ school bullying » because of the other dancers and competitors: “ Some rather mature people behaved like 7 and a half year olds “. If he remained silent for a long time about the affair, as well as about his attack, it was so as not to add fuel to the fire: “ I hid my bruises because I was afraid it would come out. I no longer trusted anyone “. Today, Christophe Licata therefore speaks to settle his scores and above all to ease his conscience: “ I questioned myself a lot about doing another season or not. And initially, it was to explain why I didn’t want to leave. I needed to get all this down in writing and it was real therapy ».
And despite this difficult experience, Christophe Licata still agreed to return for a final season of “Dancing with the Stars” because he did not want to end up with the “ dirty aftertaste » of the Inès Reg – Natasha St-Pier affair. “ In November, when production called me to come back, I initially refused. And when they introduced me to the personality with whom they asked me to dance, and whose identity I will not reveal to you, I was touched to the heart » he reveals today: “ I wanted to accompany him. I know that with this partner, I am attacking a season with kindness and kindness. And I think I need it “. We will know in a few weeks if he will perform tango and salsa with Julie Zenatti, Sophie Davant, Mayane or Lénie from the “Star Academy”…
