Three women, twelve men and the same goal: (re)find love. This is the challenge of the new season – the twentieth of the name – of “L'Amour est dans le pré”, which returns to its green square of Monday prime time on M6. This evening, host Karine Le Marchand will receive, in a charming Parisian residence, candidates looking for their other half. Endearing personalities that 20 Minutes introduces you.
Jean-Louis. Family first
The first meeting of this season 20 is with the friendly Jean-Louis. During his meeting with Karine Le Marchand in the middle of a wheat field, the 53-year-old Occitan shed a tear when talking about his grandfather. The one who lives with his mother, Lucette, took over the family business a little over thirty years ago. Jean-Louis assures that his future partner will, all the same, have her place within the large family property.
The fifty-year-old confides that he was in love at the age of 25 and admits that he was being “an idiot” by cheating on her. He broke up, and since then has only had love affairs. “I drowned myself in work and I’m shy,” Jean-Louis confesses to Karine Le Marchand. Today, the breeder, passionate about hunting and gathering mushrooms, is looking for a happy woman, younger than him and “comfortable”. With a tear in his eye, he admits to being disappointed at not having been able to be a father and would not be opposed, on the contrary, to meeting a woman with children.
Oceane. Strength and weaknesses
Aged 26, this Breton market gardener created her fruit and vegetable farm with her brother. Like Jean-Louis, Océane is “very family” and recognizes, with tears in her eyes, that she is close to her brother, Tanguy. Their small business, founded three years ago, is not experiencing the crisis.
Champion three years in a row, the dynamic 1.61m Breton “loves guys’ sports” and excels in throwing straw bales and lifting cart axles. But this physical strength hides a weakness: her lack of self-confidence. She deplores the absence of a love story where she could have gained confidence and even points out a toxic relationship. But, today, she is looking for a sporty, wiry man, without children (but who would like to have them) and who loves animals.
Denis. We all have something…
At 59, Denis is a breeder of suckler cows and goats after taking over his uncle's farm. He focuses on sustainable production, but also on mixed farming, from which he draws most of his income. Full of humor and quips, the friendly farmer from Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes only had one love affair at the age of 27 and focused mainly on his work and his parents. Because Denis also calls himself “very family”.
A fan of blood sausage aperitifs and tripe aperitifs, Denis is a fan of music and singing. His idol: Johnny Hallyday. And you don't have to push him too much to make him sing Taulier hits. On the heart side, the joker farmer is looking for a person who is both “cool”, tender, good-natured, non-smoking and of his age. “I will see myself in her blue eyes,” he confesses. No doubt, all it takes is a spark to…
Matthew. A page to write
The 29-year-old man, with hundreds of sheep, “gave love more than reason”. This Occitan has been working with his parents on the family farm since 2016, with one objective: to produce Roquefort. Mathieu recognizes how lucky he is to have the parents he has and evokes, not without emotion, his deceased grandfather. In short, here again, a “very family” candidate. In love, “the page is blank”. At the age of 21, he suffered a heart attack.
Surrounded by his family and friends, Mathieu, passionate about handball and fishing, is looking for a gentle, smiling, authentic woman who shares simple values. Wanting children, he set out in search, for the time being, of a childless woman.
Anthony. A laughing heart
At 46, the dairy cow breeder takes care of his home and his physique. He works with his cousin, Gabriel, and takes care of his brother Arnaud, who has a disability. “Very family”, the guy from the Grand-Est, who wanted to be a baker when he was little, is full of energy and joy of life, but has difficulty hiding his shyness in love (he blushes very quickly).
Antoine confesses to having loved only once, at the age of 30, but his other half lived too far away. Since then, no story. This fan of songs from the 1980s and belote now hopes to meet a woman who is sweet, petite, holds a driving license (Epinal is only thirty minutes from his home) and hardworking. The message got through.
New portraits will be offered on M6 in the coming weeks with, in particular, the presentations of Jean-Louis (Hauts-de-France), Célia (Occitanie), Samuel (Nouvelle-Aquitaine), Pierrick (Brittany), Anthony (Occitanie ), Gilles (Normandy), Jean-Baptiste (Nouvelle-Aquitaine), Julien (Nouvelle-Aquitaine), Laurent (Auvergne Rhône-Alpes), Géraldine (Pays-de-la-Loire).
