Almost a year after this conflict which fascinated viewers of Dancing with the starsInès Reg’s dancer speaks for the first time.

Almost a year after the dispute between Natasha St-Pier and Inès Reg behind the scenes of Dancing with the starsChristophe Licata comes out of silence. The dancer, partner of the comedian during this high-tension 2024 edition, confides for the first time in Le Parisien about this highly publicized quarrel. And half-heartedly suggests that the victory, won by Natasha St-Pier and her dancer Anthony Colette, should have gone to them:

“The only thing that hurts me is that the level of dancing has not improved,” he declared in the columns of the daily.

Arriving in the final, Christophe Licata and Inès Reg finished on the third step of the podium, behind the second place of the influencer Nico Capone and his dancer Inès Vandamme.

“We experienced an injustice. We had the best grades with Inès,” he laments today. “Winning thanks to our level would have been the best response after everything that happened (….) We were the best, period.”

Altercation in rehearsals

A vive altercation broke out between Inès Reg and Natasha St-Pier during a rehearsal of Dancing with the stars on January 31, 2024. Following leaks in the press, notably on a handrail filed by the singer of You will findeach delivered his version of the facts on social networkscausing new media coverage.

Inès Reg then assured in video that Natasha St-Pier had called her a “little slut”, while the latter had pleaded the “bad joke” and had accused her of verbal violence towards her and Anthony Colette. In the process, the singer was suspended for three days.

Christophe Licata remained silent despite the media hype surrounding the affair. Monday January 13, he will publish the book Revelation(s)in which he looks back on his 13 years of participation in Dancing with the stars but also behind the scenes of the quarrel between the two artists. He claims, in particular, to have been ostracized by the rest of the team:

“It was similar to school bullying,” he told Le Parisien. “Some rather mature people behaved like 7 and a half year olds.

“I felt guilty”

He also recounts having been in the dancers’ dressing room one day to “burst the abscess”; “I was criticized for not taking a stand, for not being in solidarity with Anthony, but we didn’t all have the same vision of things. Today, everything is better with everyone, but I know who I can count.”

He also evokes remorse, because it was he who had approached Inès Reg to offer her to participate in the program: “This whole story made me sad because (Inès Reg) is a personality that the French adore and that dirtied her and I felt guilty because I dragged her into this show.”

He reports, to conclude, having been attacked “in the street” by several individuals during the season, “one evening while returning from rehearsals”, without specifying whether this attack had a link with the conflict between Inès Reg and Natasha St-Pier.

Christophe Licata will participate in the 14th season of Dancing with the stars This year. We do not know, for the moment, which celebrity he will accompany on the floor.
