Parallel investigation: What does the second episode of the France 3 police drama with Florence Pernel have in store?
While she is sent to a small town to cover yet another sausage fair, Fred manages to prevent a man from jumping from the roof of a house. Lack of luck, the relief is only short-lived: the next day, he is arrested for the murder of his ex-wife, with whom he was still madly in love. Worse, it increases the motives for murder. A case of feminicide that the prosecutor, who is chasing the Legion of Honor, wants to resolve quickly. If at the beginning, Thomas, the commander in charge of the investigation, also thinks that the case is closed, he changes his mind. But stuck, there’s not much he can do except let Fred…snoop around.
Parallel investigation: what is the second episode of the France 3 police drama with Florence Pernel worth? Our opinion
Classic but flawless, fans of France 3’s Saturday evening thriller will appreciate rediscovering the good humor of Florence Pernel, and her partners, starting with Jean-Baptiste Shelmerdine in the role of the dull but endearing cameraman. Macha Méril also steps back into the role of Florence Pernel’s mother, just like Jessyrielle Massengo (awarded at the Luchon Festival in 2020 for her role in Bad mother where she delivered a real slap to Barbara Schulz) as Rosa, the adopted daughter of the heroine, and Frédérique Tirmont as the editor-in-chief on the lookout for the next scoop.
As for the actors who appear in this episode, once again directed by Stéphanie Pilonca, they will also win the support of fans of French fiction: David Mora (Household scenes) succeeds Medi Sadoun as a conciliatory gendarme, Annie Grégorio, Malik Zidi (arrived recently in Tomorrow belongs to us)Eric Savin or even Samuel Abitbol. Note that a third episode of Eparallel investigation is already in progress and a fourth is well underway.
