“Witches”: Shock wave following the actions taken by Vanessa

(Continuation of season 2) It’s the shock wave following the actions taken by Vanessa. Will Rémi and his mother survive? Joe, who attended the event, is completely dejected. How will she and her colleagues recover from such a tragedy? Solène has skillfully placed her pawns and is on the verge of obtaining everything she desires. What are the real motivations of this woman and who are the mysterious people with whom she is in contact?

By reaching out to Simon Larose (Jocelyn Blanchard) and his daughter, Vanessa (Léa Roy), Joe (Céline Bonnier) believed he was doing a good deed. With Rémi (David Noël), her young colleague, she listened to the father and daughter recount their experience in a sect. Simon Larose hoped to get help for his daughter, who suffers from serious mental health problems. “Things did not have time to change before Vanessa, caught in a delirium, stabbed Rémi and his mother. The first thing we will want to know is if they are still alive,” confides the author, Germain Larochelle. At the Citadin, we feel the shock wave and we have to deal with the consequences. However, if this drama haunts Joe, it also raises certain questions which will become obsessive. The journalist, who put aside her personal investigation about the town and the baby of the falls, would do well to take an interest again… Alistair (Léopold Lafontaine), who was present on the scene at the time of the crime , is a fragile young boy. Will an event like this reignite his pain and cause another episode of disordered eating?

SECRETS AND ACCUSATION

In the fall finale, we saw that the Bussières family was tested. An arrest warrant has been issued against Armand (Germain Houde/Olivier Lamarche). The police are looking for the former guru of the commune of Sainte-Piété, who faces serious charges. “In January, when the action resumed, Armand was still wanted. Viewers know where he’s hiding and saw him playing with fire in the fall finale. Armand knows he could be arrested at any time and he is, in a way, looking for redemption. He wants to repent and see the people he knew again to explain himself to them,” maintains Germain Larochelle. With Beth (Marie-Joanne Boucher), nothing went as planned. She refuses to forgive him or even to hear him. Beth is not the only one to have seen Armand. Solène Villeneuve (Marianne Fortier) knows where he is hiding. Will she denounce him? The young woman takes up more and more space in the community. The budding relationship between Nicolas Roy (Christophe Payeur) and her does not go unnoticed. Nico is madly in love with the young entrepreneur, and they make a beautiful couple. However, certain elements will lead us to doubt that Nico’s feelings are shared. Solène presented herself as the savior of Sainte-Piété, and Véronique (Julie Roussel) swears by her. The conversion of the old mines will certainly bring in money, and it is a good investment for Solène, but as the weeks go by, we will come to question the real intentions of the businesswoman. What is the real reason for her interest in Sainte-Piété and who are the people with whom she is in telephone contact? Solène has a goal in mind and nothing will stop her…

CHURCH RELATIONSHIPS

We can no longer count the bickering between Beth and Phil (Patrick Drolet). It was believed that, thanks to the move, Alistair’s return and Beth’s professional projects, this new chance that the couple offered themselves would bring harmony between them. “Tensions resume between the spouses. Phil gets involved in everything in Beth’s new business, and there will be other arguments linked to Alistair and Charlotte (Maée Jenkins),” says Germain Larochelle. Is this the end of their relationship? Beth is a beautiful, intelligent and interesting woman. If she leaves Phil, she might not be alone for long, as she will capture the attention of a single, unattached man. Beth doesn’t know it yet, but her daughter will really need her. Charlotte is pregnant and experiencing great heartbreak. Christian (Thomas Vallières) does not forgive him for lying to him about his age and he fears reprisals for having had sex with a minor. Will this be the case? Furthermore, the relationship between Joe and Martin (Jean-Moise Martin) increasingly resembles a love story. Martin takes nothing for granted; he continues to be patient with the journalist so as not to rush her, and she is grateful to him.
