What does Dragon Ball have in store for us in 2025? Whether for manga, anime or video games, we offer you a selection of events not to be missed this year. But above all, we would like to wish you an excellent year 2025, and thank you for still being so numerous to follow us. For our part, we will continue to try to do our best to relay important Dragon Ball news to you, as we have been doing for over 9 years now!
Dragon Ball DAIMA
The year 2025 will offer us the continuation and the end of Dragon Ball DAIMA. The animated series is taking a short break this week, but will resume on Friday January 10, 2025 with episode 13 which will be titled “ Surprise “. After defeating Tamagami number 2 and recovering the second Dragon Ball, Goku's group now leaves for the first Demon Realm to recover the first Dragon Ball and rescue Dendé. The series is broadcast in France every week on ADN, Crunchyrol, the MANGAS channel and NETFLIX.
Dragon Ball Super Divers
Part 2 of the arcade game Dragon Ball Super Divers will begin on January 30, 2025 in Japan. This second part will bring its share of new cards which we had a first glimpse of during Jump Festa 2025, and which you can discover on the game's official website.
Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2025
The first big event of the year will be Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2025which will be held on January 18 and 19 in Los Angeles, and which will be broadcast live on the official DBGBH YouTube channel. For this new edition, 6 games will be in the spotlight; Dragon Ball Sparking ZERO will have its tournament for the first time during the event. Dragon Ball FighterZ will host the winners of the “Qualifier Points” and “LCQ” (Last Chance Qualifier) tournaments who will compete for the world championship. The game of playing cards Dragon Ball Super Card Game Masters will also have its world championship this year, while the grand finals of Dragon Ball Super Card Game Fusion World will take place physically but also in a digital version. Finally, Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle plans to celebrate the game's 10th anniversary there.
A special Dragon Ball DAIMA panel is also planned during the event. Akio Iyokuexecutive producer of the Dragon Ball franchise, will once again be present on stage to comment on some highlights of Dragon Ball DAIMA, and will also reveal new illustrations drawn by Akira Toriyama. Special guests will then join him on stage to share some anecdotes about the production process of the series.
Dragon Ball Full Color
Volumes 7 and 8 of the edition Full Color de Dragon Ball will arrive at the start of the year at Glénat. Always dedicated to “ Goku's childhood », the 7th volume will be released on February 5, 2025and will include chapters 102 to 117 of the story including the continuation of Goku and his friends' fights against the warriors of Baba the Witch, and the beginnings of the 22nd Tenkaichi Budokai. Volume 8 will be released on 19 mars 2025it will include chapters 118 to 134, and will be entirely devoted to the 22nd Tenkaichi Budokai, until its conclusion.
The two volumes will once again be in full color, in a format identical to the Perfect Edition (145 x 210 mm), containing 240 and 248 pages respectively. The volume price, identical to the previous ones, will be 14,95€.
Dragon Ball Super
On hiatus since March 2024 and chapter 103, the Dragon Ball Super manga will make its comeback on February 20, 2025 with a one-shot centered on Goten and Trunks and their favorite superhero, Clean God. This new chapter will finally allow volume 24 to be concluded, which needs an additional chapter to be published.
As for the Dragon Ball Super manga in France, volume 23 is expected for March 5, 2025 from Glénat. This will include chapters 97 to 100 of the story for 192 pages of content, concluding the film adaptation Dragon Ball Super Super Hero in manga. The volume will be sold at the price of 7,20€and you can already pre-order it on Amazon.
Dragon Ball Z Scratch
As you probably know, the next DLC of Dragon Ball Z Scratch will be centered on Dragon Ball DAIMA. First announced during New York Comic Con 2024, the first DLC titled “ DAIMA – Adventure through the Demon Realm Part 1 » will offer players the opportunity to experience the new adventures of Goku Mini and his companions from the new animated series. Bandai Namco hasn't revealed any more information so far or a release date, but chances are we'll learn more during Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2025.
Dragon Ball Sparking! ZERO
The year 2025 will see the first DLC characters of Dragon Ball Sparking ZERO arrive. More than 20 playable characters will join the roster thanks to the Season Pass. The first DLC will add characters from the film “ Dragon Ball Super : Super Hero » with Gamma 1 and Gamma 2 confirmed for the moment. DLC 2 and 3 will be Dragon Ball DAIMA themed, and Glori as well as Vegeta (Mini) have already been confirmed for the second DLC. We don't know at the moment when all this will come out, but here too, we hope to have the answer during the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2025.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2
The immortal Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will continue to offer DLC to its players in 2025. The next one will be chapter 3 of the Saga du futur »and should, as always, offer new playable characters as well as its share of additional content. As with the Sparking ZERO and Kakarot DLCs, this one does not yet have a release date, and we once again hope that the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2025 will bring us new information.
Dragon Ball Special Box “Dragon Ball Super Gallery”
To celebrate 40 years of Dragon Ball, a new box set containing the 42 tomes was announced last month during Jump Festa 2025. This box set will offer double covers featuring the illustrations created by numerous mangakas in the “Dragon Ball Super Gallery” project. Among these big names, Takehiko Inoue (Slam Dunk), Yoshihiro Togashi (Hunter X Hunter), Tite Kubo (Bleach), Kohei Horikoshi (My Hero Academia), Yusuke Murata (One Punch Man), Takeshi Obata (Death Note), and many more. The release date of this box set has not yet been announced at the moment, and it will certainly be a while before it is announced in France.
Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball DAIMA collection at UNIQLO
A new collection Dragon Ball and for the first time Dragon Ball DAIMA arrives in France at the end of January at UNIQLO. The clothing offered will be t-shirts and sweatshirts, with models designed for adults and others for children. All products are already online on the official French UNIQLO website.
