Mathieu, sheep breeder and Anthony, organic poultry breeder, are among the 15 candidates for the 20th season of the show hosted by Karine Le Marchand. To discover every Monday from January 13.
There was the incomparable Didier but also Nicolas, Thierry or Jean-Claude… We will now have to add Mathieu and Anthony to the list of Aveyronnais who participated in the M6 show L'Amour est dans le pré. From January 13, the channel will begin to broadcast the portraits of each of 15 candidates from this new season in which the two Aveyronnais will take part.
According to M6, Mathieu, 28 years old and a sheep breeder, is “gentle and sincere”. A farmer since 2016, he works on the family farm and raises 450 dairy sheep to produce Roquefort. “Passionate about his job”, he is “very surrounded”, but “novice in love”. “He has never experienced a true romantic relationship, having not yet met the one who would make his heart beat. Deeply romantic and whole, he wants his first steps in a relationship to be carried by true love. Touched by an illness heart disease at the age of 20, Mathieu survived numerous ordeals which changed his perception of life”, summarizes the channel.
Mathieu, “shy with a big heart”
“This shy man with a big heart, very invested in his village and passionate about handball, dreams of a kind woman, ready to share his simple and authentic life, and above all his values. Participating in the show is for him a way to overcome his reserve and, he hopes, to find a soul mate”, explains the production of the show.
Second candidate based in Aveyron, Anthony is 36 years old and follows in the footsteps of his brother Thierry who participated in season 13 of L'Amour est dans le pré. He breeds organic chickens, ducks and turkeys. “Anthony is a reserved man, sometimes a little in his own bubble, but behind his shell hides a great sensitivity. Gentle and taciturn, he lacks self-confidence despite his deadpan humor and his teasing side, which appeals to those who get to know him,” explains M6.
Fear of “ending up alone like an idiot deep in the countryside”
Marked by the disappearance of his mother and single for seven years, he finds “that it has become difficult to meet people: his friends are all in relationships and outings are rare. Deeply endearing, Anthony hopes that love will come break his loneliness and brighten his daily life. He decided to participate driven by the fear of “ending up alone like an idiot in the depths of the campaign”.
Each evening of L'Amour est dans le pré brings together an average of nearly 4 million viewers. Last season, the show had more than 200 million views on social networks. Initially, only the portraits of farmers will be broadcast on M6. The rest of the season will not continue until next summer. To be discovered from January 13, every Monday from 8:45 p.m. on M6.
