The faithful ofAstrid and Raphaëlle will not want to miss the final episode of season 5, broadcast this Friday, December 20, 2024 at 9:05 p.m. on France 2. Since its launch on November 8, this season has kept an impressive average of 4.9 million viewers in suspense, without count the replay. In this episode entitled A Wedding and Four Funerals, Astrid (Sara Mortensen) and Raphaëlle (Lola Dewaere) dive into the heart of a drama that occurred on a film set. An actor is murdered in front of the entire crew, and, in a nod to the legendary Columbo, the identity of the culprit is revealed in the first minutes. The suspense therefore lies in the way in which our heroines will manage to confuse the murderer. But be careful, this finale promises major twists and surprises, some of which are far from pleasant. Astrid and Raphaëlle: A confirmed season 6 and imminent filming
Because yes, don’t panic for those who fear the end of their evenings with Astrid and Raphaëlle : France 2 has already confirmed a sixth season. Eight new episodes will begin filming from January 2025. And we already know that the character of Delphine Simon, played by Charlotte Gaccio, will be back: “I’m delighted, because Delphine will come back from time to time to help with investigations. Filming is approaching, and I’ve already been told about the dates.” In addition to this new round of investigations, Sara Mortensen and Lola Dewaere will reprise their roles in a second crossover with Alexandra Ehle. A first collaboration between the two series was broadcast last November and delighted viewers.
Astrid and Raphaëlle : Soon a British remake!
The success ofAstrid and Raphaëlle is not limited to France. The series, broadcast in more than 90 countries, is about to have a British version entitled Patience. Produced in collaboration between England and Belgium, this six-episode adaptation is expected on Channel 4 in 2025. In this remake, Astrid becomes Patience Evans, a young woman on the autism spectrum with a unique talent for solve crimes. The role will be played by Ella Maisy Purvis (A Kind of Spark), while Laura Fraser (Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul) will play Bea Marcalf, the equivalent of Raphaëlle. This retelling promises to offer a different perspective while retaining the essence of the original series.
