A few dozen demonstrators met this Wednesday, December 18, 2024, in front of the headquarters of the Audiovisual and Digital Communication Regulatory Authority (Arcom) in the 15th arrondissement of Paris, to denounce the “censorship” of which would be a victim of the chain C8. A demonstration in which Cyril Hanouna took part.
As noted by our colleagues from The Voice of the Norththe demonstration was declared and authorized and was thus able to bring together numerous supporters of the C8 channel, the teams of TPMPand many journalists who were there to cover the event.
Cyril Hanouna invests in trying to save C8
Unsurprisingly, Cyril Hanouna took part in the demonstration. Proof that he walks his talk, he who has indeed promised, for several months, to fight and do everything to try to save the channel which should close its doors on February 25, 2025 after Arcom’s decision not to not renew the frequency of the 8th channel and that ofNRJ12.
The presenter of TPMP appeared around 3:20 p.m. as noted by our colleagues at La Voix du Nord. “I wanted to thank you, those who are here. You know, here are the decisions that Arcom took. What matters to me is the public which every evening places TPMP as the first talk in France. Thank you for being so numerous every evening”, he told his supporters after taking the time to take selfies alongside them.
The host will host his show until the end
Subsequently, Cyril Hanouna, still determined to save the channel on which he works and above all, its many employees, promised to continue “to do the show until the end of February”. “I still have an appointment tomorrow to work on tracks. As soon as I know what I’m doing, on Canal+ or in a new adventure, all the technicians who have worked with me will know it”he promised.
It was in July that Arcom made the choice not to renew the frequency of C8 after hearings. “He based his decision in particular on ‘the interest of each project for the public with regard to the priority imperative of pluralism'”reminds The Voice of the North.
