The rest after the ad
In August 2017, France 2 offered its brand new program called Deal donewith Sophie Davant at the helm. Quickly, the show where exceptional objects are sold to a group of experts became a hit. After five years of good and loyal service, the host leaves the set and is replaced by Julia Vignali. On the buyers’ side, changes have also been noticed over the seasons. But the public is already very attached to certain figures, like Caroline Margeridon or even Marie du Sordet. The latter joined the team in 2019 and never left. If she always appears radiant on screen, in reality, she lives in the shadows in sometimes difficult times.
On November 26, Marie du Sordet took to her Instagram account to post a photo of herself in a red sweater, one hand on her head and a tired look. In the caption, she speaks with an open heart to her more than 30,000 followers. “A day without“, she says. And to explain a little more: “I rarely talk about these moments, but after all, that’s life too. There are days when everything stops. No strength to get up, no desire to work, no bright ideas. Just the body and this little bike in the head that together say: ‘Thumb. Stop. Today we’re taking a break.’ And maybe we should listen to them on those days… Welcoming them with kindness, without guilt. Because without these low moments, how can we appreciate the days full of life, energy and projects that are moving forward?“
Marie du Sordet (Deal concluded) faced with a complicated rhythm, a break is necessary
Advice that Marie du Sordet, professionally associated with her husband Jacques, applies first and foremost to herself. “Until now I did not listen to these signals, but I must ‘grow up’ because this morning, the question did not arise and above all I had no guilt in saying to those around me and my colleagues: ‘You know what, guys?! Forget me!’“, she blurted. And continued: “If you too have days like that, know that in fact we all go through these moments, and that of course it’s fine! And finally, letting go isn’t already moving forward? Life is fun all the same… I had planned a fortnight ago to take a 2-day break this weekend… So I knew I needed it… C It just arrived earlier than expected.“Since then, Marie du Sordet has been able to get back on track and come back in better shape than ever!
