Tom Ellis Reacts to Shocking and Surprising Character Twist in Season 2 of Tell Me Lies
“I knew what was going to happen from the start of filming and while this twist is horrible, I think it’s brilliant. It was very important for me and Catherine Missal not to go too far and especially not to think too much about the ending and what was going to happen when we were filming. We played things step by step, like Oliver and Bree played their relationship. It was the best way to deal with this subject, and it was also the best way to give it the most impact possible“, Tom Ellis told us. When viewers discovered this twist, there was one question that kept haunting them: Did Oliver love Bree or was it really just a game for him ?
Will Tom Ellis be back in season 3 of Tell Me Lies if it is ordered?
“I think Marianne says a very interesting thing to Bree when the latter reveals to her that Oliver told her he loved her. Marianne explains to him that he probably loves her but that the meaning he puts into his words is very different from the meaning Bree puts into them. This alludes to the fact that we all have our own version of what love is. Oliver is a very broken person and his version of love is very different from what you and I normally associate with it. I think if he convinced himself to love her, he’s someone who doesn’t think about the consequences because he only really thinks about himself“, told us Tom Ellis, who will not be back in season 3 of Tell Me Lies if ordered.
