Un Si Grand Soleil: Summary of the episode of December 4, 2024
Maéva makes a drastic decision
Maéva discovered that she was pregnant. She tells Tom that she is going to make an appointment with the doctor to find out about the steps to terminate her pregnancy. Tom remains silent. Finally, he tells Maéva that he will be there if she ever wants to reconsider her decision. He loves her and, whatever her choice, he will be by her side to make it happen. A little later, Maéva asks Carine if she had any doubts about keeping her despite her young age. Carine replies that she had no hesitation when she found out she was pregnant. She clarifies that she has never regretted her decision, even if she went through difficult times.
Louis, for his part, phones Léni Vasquez and asks him what he is playing with Maéva and Loki the influencer. The designer replies that he simply wants to work with the best. Louis thinks that Léni is trying to put obstacles in his way, because he knows that he is better than him and that he is just scared to death. Louis then warns him: he is not going to let this happen.
Tom visits his sister in Les Sauvages and informs her that Maéva is pregnant. He then tells her that he would agree if Maéva decided to keep the baby. Emma doesn’t think this is a good idea. She believes that Tom still has a lot to achieve before thinking about starting a family.
At the end of the day, Maéva finds her boyfriend. She explains to Tom that she has made inquiries and that she must make an appointment at the hospital to confirm the date of her pregnancy and the steps to follow to terminate it. The young woman then makes sure that Tom agrees with her decision not to keep this child. Tom admits that it’s not the right time for him or her. He then hugs Maéva, but his look suggests that he is perhaps not on the same wavelength as her.
Marc and Marie-Sophie slip up
The atmosphere is tense among the Guérins. Charlotte hasn’t spoken to her father for two days. Sohan complains and blames Marie-Sophie for inciting their daughter to turn against him. Marie-Sophie retorts to her husband that this is not the case and that on the contrary she is trying to calm things down. In a fit of anger, she calls her husband pathetic. At Midi Libre, Marie-Sophie discovers that Marc continues to investigate Social Security fraud at the Laumière Santé Group. She is angry with him because he is supposed to write an article about the water crisis. Marc replies that this does not prevent him from working in parallel on health centers. He adds that he has the situation under control. Marie-Sophie gives her a soap and Marc looks down on her. The tone rises between them and an argument breaks out in the middle of the editorial staff, to the great displeasure of the director of Midi Libre. He summons Marie-Sophie to his office. He points out to her that the atmosphere of the team is her responsibility as editor-in-chief. He then suggests that he reorganize the publication schedule so that Marc can write the two articles. After this interview, Marie-Sophie suggests that Marc go for a drink after work to discuss this whole story. He accepts.
Catherine Laumière takes advantage of a car ride to question Eliott about his past. The young man admits to having served time in prison for money laundering. He specifies that he has since done everything he can to reintegrate, hence the creation of his VTC company. Catherine then asks him about Muriel. Eliott confirms that she is Elisabeth Bastide’s right-hand woman and that everything seems to be going well between them. Eliott takes Catherine home. He meets Boris who wonders why he works for his mother. He thinks that Muriel’s ex-companion is trying to intimidate her. Eliott justifies himself by explaining that he just needs to work and that all this is the result of chance. But that’s not all. He points out to Boris that if he had wanted to hit him, he would have done it a long time ago and that he would not have needed to be hired by his mother for that.
Over a drink, Marie-Sophie makes her mea culpa in front of Marc. She recognizes that since her arrival in the editorial department their relationships have been tense, and that this has an impact on the teams. She wants the situation to improve. While leaving the café, Marie-Sophie receives a call from her husband, but chooses not to answer. She then praises Marc’s writing talent. As they part, she suddenly kisses him passionately, and he kisses her back. They both agree that they slipped up and that it must not happen again.
