Already, last week in STAT, Saint-Vincent staff questioned who should receive the artificial heart-lung machine: a 78-year-old man in very good shape or a woman in her thirties who is waiting for antivenom which maybe won’t arrive in time?

Eventually, the device was hooked up to Valérie (Pascale Renaud-Hébert), the hospital’s physiotherapist, who was bitten by a deadly spider.

Now another moral debate is emerging in everyday life.

In fact, a child in a daycare was also bitten by the same type of spider. He will soon arrive in Saint-Vincent and, as the anti-poison is already on the way, we can expect that the doctors will have to make the difficult decision to save the little boy or their colleague.

Moreover, in the trailer, we can see Valérie’s colorful sister, played by Julie Ringuette, expressing her fear of seeing the cure being attributed to the toddler.

Already, on social networks, tempers are heating up while some Internet users hope to see the child receive the anti-poison and others prefer that Valérie, who arrived first, retains her priority.

Also, in the trailer, we see a mother asking for her baby back. Is it the mother of the little boy bitten by the spider or could it be the mother of a child allegedly stolen by Ariane, whose baby was placed with a family by the DPJ, upon leaving the hospital last week? We will know more on Monday evening…

See the trailer below.

Remember that the last episode of STAT before the holiday break will be presented on December 12. Find out here when the daily will return in 2025.
