During the review of season 8 of Married at First Sight, Raphaël had decided to divorce Ludivine. On her Instagram account on Thursday, June 27, 2024, she revealed whether they were still in contact or not.
They seemed made for each other and yet fate decided otherwise. Indeed, in the middle of her honeymoon, Ludivine reveals all her doubts and all her fears to her husband, in a not very diplomatic manner. An attitude that greatly displeases Raphaël. Very hurt by his words, the latter decides to cut the relationship short and asks for a divorce. During the assessment, six months later, Ludivine was able to step back and admit to having made inappropriate comments. Unfortunately, it’s too late to mend their relationship.
Ludivine was hoping for something
Ludivine very much hoped to reconnect with Raphaël. “The ideal scenario for our reunion with Raph is that we still have this bond. Afterwards, I am convinced that there can be a continuation of our story, nothing is ever set in stone,” she had confided during the episode of the assessment. “It’s true that you are all sparkling with your smile, but with all these elements, everything that happened, it’s unimaginable,” Raphael had explained to him. “As far as I’m concerned, the chapter is closed. I have a totally different view from the first time I saw her, after everything that happened, there’s no longer that little spark, that little alchemy. I no longer look at her with the eyes of a husband,” he confides in front of the camera.
They remained on good terms
Despite everything, the two candidates remained on good terms. On her Instagram account, Ludivine confided on Thursday June 27, 2024 that she was still in contact with Raphaël. When a subscriber asked her if he was still in touch, she replied: “There are still 20 minutes”, she says. “We are in almost daily contact and we have never broken contact since the assessment. We provide each other with kindness and support. We formed a team throughout this broadcast and that continues.” And to conclude: “We are not friends in the deep sense of the word where friends can be counted on the fingers of one hand […] but we are friends, we laugh a lot, we are accomplices, hence the term In all friendship.” A nice outcome despite the fact that they were not soul mates.
