Since 2022, Frédéric Lopez has received three guests every week to spend a weekend at his side in the countryside, giving rise to moments of strong emotion, from laughter to tears. In two years of broadcasting, the host has already welcomed 150 personalities who have all kept good memories of their filming ofA Sunday in the countryside. Guest on the set of C to youthis Thursday, November 21, the journalist confides with pride on the complicity that the personalities manage to weave between them.

Everything can sometimes oppose the guests ofA Sunday in the countrysidebut nothing stops them from forging strong bonds during this timeless weekend. On the set of C to youFrédéric Lopez admits to being rather proud of managing to bring his guests together: “Almost in 100% of cases, they exchange numbers. It's very touching because we see the evolution in 24 hours“, he testifies to Élisabeth Lemoine, before adding: “I receive them in front of the camera, I sense the shyness and once we have gone into the barn, once we have told about our childhood there is a sort of empathy. Afterwards, we play slightly stupid games and there is bad faith, we see those who have a competitive spirit!”, he jokes. The host of the program even regularly receives news from his guests : “They often send me photos on vacation, where they meet again and that’s a source of great pride”he explains.

On the set of C to youFrédéric Lopez returned to the genesis of his show A Sunday in the countryside. Faced with Anne-Élisabeth Lemoine, he reveals: “When I went to an unknown land with guests, some showed me their corner. Muriel Robin introduced me to Corsica, Patrick Timsit a corner of Gard. While they were cooking and washing the dishes, I said to myself: 'That's funny, they never said it in an interview.' The concept came from there. I said to myself: 'Let's do a show in the countryside!'” A winning bet, the personalities play the game and give themselves entirely in their show broadcast on France 2.
