Monday November 25 in Here it all begins…

Anaïs dreads her new life

At the marsh roommate, Enzo and Vic question Milan about Anaïs' situation. The latter explains to them that she waited too long to have the operation but as she still has residual hearing she should be able to wear hearing aids. He is going to accompany her to her appointment with the hearing care professional.

For his part, Teyssier calls all the guests from last Friday to apologize for the cancellation of the tasting. He claims that there was a problem with the cold room and that Anaïs' event menu will be rescheduled as soon as it is fixed. Antoine and Clotilde nevertheless try to make their superior understand that the young woman will probably not be able to return to the kitchen. Teyssier asks them to stay out of all that.

It is only to his wife that Teyssier admits to feeling guilty about what happened to Anaïs. He regrets having put too much pressure on her. Constance nevertheless emphasizes that Anaïs suffers from a genetic disease and that she also put pressure on herself. In any case, Teyssier has no intention of letting go. He remembers the unwavering support she gave him when he lost his sense of taste and smell.

At the hospital, Anaïs meets the audiologist who gives her hearing aids. He then takes care of adjusting the settings as best as possible. Anaïs is at first disturbed by all the noises she hears at the same level. Once the settings are complete, she can hear the voices of those she is talking to, but with a robotic effect.

Back at her roommate in the marshes, Anaïs receives a visit from Teyssier who confides his guilt to her. He also warns her against drugs. Anaïs promises him that she will never touch it again. She assures that she will get back on her feet to reschedule her event menu. Teyssier, for his part, keeps his place as head of Double A.

Anaïs then goes to isolate herself in her room because her devices start to whistle. Milan then explains to Teyssier that the devices capture all the surrounding sounds and that Anaïs must remain permanently focused on the voices of her interlocutors, which is particularly exhausting. She will be able to undergo rehabilitation, but it may take a very long time.

A little later, Anaïs comes out of her room while Vic and Carla are preparing dinner. The surrounding noises become unbearable for Anaïs. Milan takes her outside, to the terrace, so she can be quiet. Anaïs removes her devices, admitting that she will never tolerate them. In tears, the young woman realizes that she will probably never be able to return to the kitchen. Milan takes her in his arms to comfort her…

Lionel must manage Inès

At the Lanneau house, Zoé discovers a note from Inès' homeroom teacher in her notebook, highlighting the drop in her grades. Inès retorts that her sister should find a guy instead of being on her back all the time, adding that it's not her fault that Gary rejected her. At the end of her nerves, Zoé entrusts her little sister to Lionel.

At the Atelier, Lionel no longer knows which direction to take his concept following the mystery critic. This is also the case for several of his comrades. Mehdi advises them not to think about it anymore. Unlike the others, Lionel has to return home early to take care of Inès. He tries to make her do her math homework, to no avail. They keep yelling at each other.

Lionel asks Tom and Billie for help. The latter advises him to opt for positive education: that is to say, to communicate with kindness instead of shouting at each other.

Antoine has a crush on Angèle

At the local café, Coline and Bérénice tell Carla that they tried to get Angèle hired as a market gardener at the Institute, but that their plan did not work. Carla is upset that they acted behind her back. She also points out that it was a very bad idea because Rose would certainly not have appreciated coming face to face with Angèle. Furthermore, Carla reminds Coline that she still hasn't spoken to her mother about her.

A little later, Carla confides to Souleymane that Coline is her cousin. At the same time, the latter comes to apologize to him.

Meanwhile, Antoine admits to Rose that he is having trouble finding someone for the position of market gardener. He thought he had found the rare gem, but she refused. Seeing how he talks about this candidate, Rose suspects that she has caught his eye. Antoine confirms this to him. Rose encourages him to call her back, without knowing, obviously, who it is.

At the end of the day, Coline tries to talk to her mother about Carla, but the latter does not listen, too distracted by the messages she receives on her phone. Taking advantage of her back being turned, Coline ends up taking a look and discovers that her mother has a meeting with Antoine on Wednesday.
