New special week in the Star Academy 2024. After the surprises, it's time for the old ones. To mark the 20th anniversary of season 4, the production invited former teachers Armande Altaï (singing), Oscar Sisto (theater) and Kamel Ouali (dance) to come and give a class but also to attend the evaluations. Images of the candidates' performances were revealed during the daily newspaper on Wednesday, November 20. TF1 viewers also discovered the three nominees of the week.
Special assessments in Star Academy 2024
Despite the sadness of seeing another of their classmates leave the adventure at the end of the last bonus (Emma), the students still in competition must always redouble their efforts to avoid being in the hot seat and thus go as far as possible . And this week, a major challenge. It was not only Michaël Goldman, Sofia Morgavi, Hugues Hamelynk, Malika Benjelloun and Marlène Schaff that they had to convince. Armande Altaï, Oscar Sisto and Kamel Ouali were also present to witness the evaluations. The goal? Perform a cult song already made in the TV hook. As a duo, they also had to do a choreography (learned by Kamel Ouali) on Write the storyby Grégory Lemarchal.
For this evaluation, Ebony chose to interpret Left Outside Alone of Anastacia (made by Hoda and the artist in season 4). A moment of sweetness which delighted the teachers (it should be noted that Kamel Ouali jumped around shouting that he loved it), but also the students. “It's a masterclass“, underlined Maureen. Franck, Julie, Maureen and Marguerite opted for I don't know by Céline Dion (made by Grégory Lemarchal during the semi-final of season 4). Four great performances which won over the teaching staff.
Less successful performances
Masseo and Ulysses preferred Weightless by Calogero (title which was sung by Nolwenn Leroy and the artist in season 2). But for the two boys, it was not a great achievement. Michaël Goldman, for example, regretted that Ulysses closed his eyes during a large part of the song. Armande Altaï, for her part, stressed that her pretty tone was not highlighted enough because of her technical problems. Concerning Masseo, Marlène Schaff regretted that the young man did not let himself go. A comment shared by all the teachers. “He is still a teenager in his head and in his body“, launched the director.
Charles and Maïa bet on The world is stoned from Starmania (sung by the winner Magalie Vaé in season 5). Finally, Marine performed From adventure to adventure by Serge Lama (which Jenifer sang with the artist in season 1). “She gets hurt when she speaks and sings. There is a tone problem. It didn't excite me at all“, regretted Marlène Schaff regarding the young woman. On the other hand, everyone was seduced by the handsome blond.
This week's nominees are…
After discovering the images of the students' evening with Jenifer, big winner of season 1, it was time to discover the nominees of the week. Without much surprise, Masseo is in danger this week. “We found that your performance was a little static, as is often the case. At this level, you will really have to take a step“, warned Michaël Goldman. It was then the name ofUlysses which was pronounced. “You took a great risk with this song, but we found that your voice, after a while, started to tire. There were too many mistakes“, he was told. And Maia is the third nominee of the week for this reason: “You have decided to completely embrace your broken voice. The fact is that it made the performance a bit blocky, a bit single-minded.“A remark that she understood.
All three must not let themselves be discouraged because for now, nothing is decided!
