It’s the end of production!

Fans of The Boys will be delighted to learn that filming for season 2 of Gen V is officially complete! Lead actors Derek Luh, Maddie Phillips and Sean Patrick Thomas shared several behind-the-scenes photos to celebrate the milestone. This spin-off series, which explores the lives of young superheroes in training, won over the public from its first season in September 2023. Set between seasons 3 and 4 of the parent series, Gen V promises new twists and exciting revelations.

The secrets of the plot of season 2 of Gen V are jealously guarded, but one thing is certain: the fans are in for a treat! Eric Kripke has already warned that this new season will be even crazier than the previous one, with its share of unexpected twists and memorable scenes. The main cast, headlined by Jaz Sinclair, Lizze Broadway and Maddie Phillips, is back to immerse us once again in this ruthless universe inspired by the comics of Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson.

A big void in this season 2

Season 2 of Gen V will be marked by the absence of Chance Perdomo. The untimely death of the actor in a motorcycle accident, who played Andre Anderson, forced the producers to completely rethink the plot of the series. Although the details of these changes remain secret, it is clear that the homage paid to Perdomo will be at the heart of this new season.

For those who are still hesitant to watch the first season, I will give you a quick overview: the series focuses on the lives of young superheroes studying at Godolkin University, a school run by Vought International, the mega-corporation responsible for creating superheroes in this universe.

We follow Marie Moreau (played by Jaz Sinclair), a young girl with the power to control blood, who joins the academy in the hopes of becoming a superhero and to discover what happened to his parents, who died in an accident linked to Compound V, the chemical substance that gives powers to humans. But very quickly, Marie realizes that the university is far from being a simple training establishment: behind appearances, it harbors dark secrets, and manipulations orchestrated by Vought.

So, tempted? As a reminder, Gen V and The Boys are available on Amazon's Prime Video SVOD platform.
