The audiences for Touche pas à mon poste have never been good, 4 months from the end of the C8 broadcast, on TNT. And while Arcom has made its decision concerning the Canal+ group channel, of which Cyril Hanouna is the star, the response is coming.
This is what the general director of Canal+ France Gérald Brice Viret announced to Le Figaro, on Buzz TV, on November 5, 2024. He revealed the planned date for the end of the show, while explaining that it could possibly -be continue beyond.
Does Cyril Hanouna really have until February 28, 2025?
Indeed, Cyril Hanouna’s boss explained: “for now, we will continue the show until February 28we have the right to broadcast until then, after that we no longer have the right“.
He thus corrected: “It won't stop in December, and after that, there won't be any agreements between us, as the press said.”.
Indeed, regarding the darling of the group, Gérald Brice Viret assured: “We are working on several options, but nothing has been decided today. What is certain is that we want to continue working with Cyril. He has such power, and we today, we have channels, we have a platform, we want to do things with Cyril for sure”.
He also completed: “In any case, there is no disagreement, and no divorce, as I have read in certain newspapers.”
And it would be wrong to deprive yourself of it. For several months, Baba has been a hit on the channel, and in particular this November 4, 2024. The Isabelle Morini-Bosc affair gave him his best historical scores.
For Gérald Brice Viret, the collaboration with Cyril Hanouna must continue. It states thus: “There are several options, and then there is still, even if it is very weak: an option that C8 can continue”.
C8 recalled by Arcom?
And to add: “I hope so for the public interest”. What makes him think that it is possible, despite Arcom's final decision, are the other channels. Gérald Brice Viret argues that after February 28, 2025, all “the other projects that were selected are still not ready”, and “will not be ready before September”. In fact, we could call on C8 for replacement?
Gérald Brice Viret supports in any case: “we are really solid projects. We want to stay in time with C8 on TNT“. The ball is in Arcom's court.
