It was one of the series awaited this fall, before the super production “Cat's Eyes”, which arrives on the same channel on November 11. “Le daron”, a 6-episode mini-series with Didier Bourdon and Mélanie Bernier in the main roles, ended this Monday, November 4 on TF1. For its last evening of broadcast, the last two episodes attracted an average of 2.68 million viewers according to Médiamétrie, which corresponded to 14.9% of the public aged 4 and over and 15.9% of women responsible for purchasing aged under 50 (FRDA-50).

Nearly a million viewers lost between launch and finale

If the series finale is almost stable compared to last week and the scores of episodes 3 and 4, “Le daron” has nevertheless let almost a million viewers escape since its launch on October 21. The first two episodes had in fact achieved a very good score of 3.56 million viewers, which was equivalent to 19.0% of the public and 21.6% of the FRDA-50. The following Monday, 2.74 million viewers, or 15.5% of the public and 17.9% of the FRDA-50, were there.

The series tells the story of a whimsical lawyer (Vincent Daron, played by Didier Bourdon), who realizes upon the death of his brother with whom he founded the family firm that the latter has bequeathed his shares to Pauline Lefranc (Mélanie Bernier), a young lawyer with no apparent connection to her family who recently gave her a hard time during a trial. Each episode of this family micmac was followed on average by 2,99 millions of viewers. The audience share amounts on average to 16,4%. On the FRDA-50 target, it climbs to 18,4%. In detail, it is the very first episode of the fiction which brought together the most viewers, with 3.83 million curious people (18.2% of the public and 20.8% of the FRDA-50). Episode 4, broadcast Monday October 28, was the least followed, with 2.41 million followers (16.0% of the public and 18.2% of the FRDA-50).

A season 2 coming?

Will there be a season 2 for the fiction created by Manon Dillys and Anthony Maugendre? If TF1 had to wait until the last audiences to decide, the finale of the first season lends itself completely to a sequel. During the press conference for the series, the two main actors had also mentioned the possibility of a 2nd season. “Maybe we'll know more about Daron's life outside the office, if there is a season 2. There would also be explanations about his history with Coco, and about his friends“, Didier Bourdon confided to our colleagues at “Télé-Loisirs”. Mélanie Bernier had for her part indicated that her character, Pauline Lefranc, could get closer to Esther, Vincent Daron's daughter.
