Since last October, Sofia Morgavi has been the new singing teacher of the Star Academyseason 12 of which is currently broadcast on TF1. During an interview, the lyrical singer spoke about her relationship with Adeline Toniutti, whom she succeeded on the show.
New blood in the teaching staff. In 2022, the Star Academy made his comeback on TF1 after fourteen absences. But it was the following year, during the 2023 edition, that the talent show truly returned to success thanks to the immense popularity of Pierre Garnier, winner of season 11. During the interview, the magazine asked her in particular how she was contacted to participate in the Star Academy. “I received a message on my social networks and I couldn’t believe it!” first confided the singer, before continuing. “I even took a screenshot to send to my daughter. Afterwards the process was long. I was like Violetta in La Traviata who sings ‘I wait, I wait’ [J’attends, j’attends, NDLR]. When I found out I had been chosen, I was like a 5 year old child in front of her Christmas present. What I like about this program is that it combines all my passions.”highlighted Sofia Morgavi.

Then, the singing teacher was questioned about Adeline Toniutti to find out if the succession had not been too complicated. “I had no contact with her upstream because I don’t know her. Being on stage, I didn’t follow the show last year”she indicated. On the other hand, this does not prevent the two women from being similar in certain aspects. “We have one thing in common, it is a passion for singing.
