Since October 18, Cult has been a hit on Prime Video. A series that reveals behind the scenes of the creation of Loft Storythe first French reality show. On this occasion, this Saturday, November 2, Aurélie Casse received two protagonists from season 1, Steevy Boulay, et Jean-Edouard Lipa but also the famous caster and former editor-in-chief of the show, Angela Lorenteon the set of the magazine C L’Hebdoto discuss the success of the series and reestablish some truths along the way…

Indeed, if the series is inspired by real events, certain events have been rewritten, in particular a detail concerning the famous swimming pool sequence with Loana and Jean-Edouard. In the series Steevy Boulay, present in the swimming pool in the middle of the couple, was summoned by the production to the confessional, in order to allow the two candidates to get closer… but it did not quite happen that way. “ The series remains only a fiction. In reality, what happened was that I was actually in the swimming pool, with Loana and Jean-Edouard, and I simply wanted to go pee, that’s for that’s when I got out of the pool » explained Steevy.

Angela Lorente: “Steevy was too modern for M6”

The emblematic candidate almost never participated in the Loft, as Angela Lorente explains “ When we presented the candidates to M6, there was one of whom they were not very sure at the time, it was Steevie » reveals the popess of reality TV before adding “ He was too modern for them I think. He fit more of an ‘MTV’ profile at the time, so they were hesitant… “. Angela Lorente, sure of her casting, insists “I told them from the start, no, he is generational and we cannot do without him! I fought, because I found that each candidate brought something, because each one was different”

And the caster had a hollow nose, since Steevy Boulay was one of the candidates most appreciated by the public. Upon leaving the Loft, the latter became a columnist and TV host after being spotted by Laurent Ruquier, with the career we know him for.
