Halfway between The Circle of Disappeared Poets and Sam: discover the characters of The Replacement, on TF1!

From May 27, The Replacement returns to service on TF1. Take charge of a new high school with Professor Nicolas Valeyre, still played by JoeyStarr, and discover a gallery of new colorful characters.

The Substitute works overtime

Substitute French teacher, Nicolas Valeyre (JoeyStarr) amazes his colleagues with his unconventional methods and his rough-hewn style. However, hypersensitive and passionate, this slovenly bear has only one objective: to help his students find their way.

Two years after the end of his adventures at the Pierre and Marie Curie high school, The Substitute is transferred to the Thomas Pesquet vocational high school, in the Landes, where learning French is not the priority for his new students. To motivate them, Valeyre will set up an ambitious educational project with the region: direction… space!

Before discovering these six new episodes, broadcast from May 27 on TF1 and TF1+, a review session on Replacing and the characters around him are compelling!

From his nonchalant and cantankerous attitude to his unacademic methods, Nicolas Valeyre stands out in a very supervised school environment. But like Professor John Keating, played by Robin Williams in The Circle of Dead Poets, Valeyre is a true literature enthusiast whose goal is above all to encourage his students to be curious and open-minded.

After an end of the season full of twists and turns, during which he came close to exclusion and was reconciled with his father (Marius Yelolo), Nicolas Valeyre is transferred to a professional high school where everything remains to be done. Will he manage to tame his new students and give them a taste for words?

Revealed on the big screen by Le Bal des actresses and Polisse, which earned him two César nominations, the legendary NTM rapper takes on Replacing of a leading role larger than life. A true alter-ego, Nicolas Valeyre has not finished making people talk about him!

Clémentine Célarié is Maylis Vidal

Also nominated for a César twice for 37°2 le matin and Nocturne indienne, Clémentine Célarié has since distinguished herself on television in Les Bleus: premiers pas dans la police and Les Randonneuses.

In this new season, she takes over at short notice the role of antagonist left vacant by Stéphane Guillon to play Maylis Vidal, the strict and proud principal of the Thomas Pesquet high school. Confronted with a fiery Valeyre, his cold and rigid temperament will be put to the severe test.

Sébastien Chassagne is Antoine Maclou

A slightly dizzy mathematics teacher, Antoine Maclou is terribly in love with the CPE of the Curie high school, played in the first season by Amelle Chahbi. A true friend with (sometimes) relevant advice, Antoine is also Valeyre’s most loyal support. Despite his colleague’s transfer, Antoine never seems very far away… Could it be that their paths cross again?

It is Sébastien Chassagne, who recently appeared in Yannick and Nous, les Leroy, who lends his features to this endearing marginal that even Valeyre ends up appreciating.

Laure-Kenza Aazizou is Judith

From Valeyre, her father, Judith inherited audacity, courage and strong character. After living with her mother (Héléna Noguerra) for a long time, Judith managed to get closer to her father, notably thanks to the intervention of her grandfather (Marius Yelolo). A brilliant student despite a temperament conducive to rebellion, Judith should make her return in these new episodes.

With theatrical training, the young actress Laure-Kenza Aazizou, revelation of the first season, reprises her role of Judith.
