The success of HPI gave ideas to American producers. The French series with Audrey Fleurot as a very atypical police consultant has in fact been adapted on the other side of the Atlantic. And it’s Kaitlin Olson, seen in Philadelphia and Very Bad Nanny, who landed the role of Morgane Alvaro renamed Morgan Gilliroy for the occasion.

Audrey Fleurot’s opinion on the American version of HPI

Launched in mid-September on ABC then immediately on Hulu and Disney+, High Potential has attracted more than 11 million Americans in total on the three platforms. But if the Americans appreciated the first episode modeled on the French version, this is not necessarily the case for Audrey Fleurot. Guest Thursday evening from C to you on France 5, the star of HPI didn’t seem particularly excited about High Powerl. “She’s a little more politically correct. In my opinion, we are more sure of the classic detective series. They have erased, all the same, a lot of madness and audacity. What I like about this character is that she is constantly overflowing. They allow themselves less excess, after all it’s very cultural. I was quite surprised at first (at the popularity of the series in the United States, editor’s note). For me it was so Franco-French… But there you go. What I like is that it overflows, and they can overflow less than us“, she explained to Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine.

HPi in the running for the International Emmy Awards

If the series was adapted by the Americans, its original version is also popular. The proof,

HPI is in the running in the best comedy category at the International Emmy Awards which will be held next November. It competes with Division Palermo, Deadloch et Daily Dose of Sunshine. “We don’t come to apologize, we don’t come to sort lentils, we come to overflow. We are extremely happy (…) It’s a great source of pride.”reacted Audrey Fleurot in C à vous.
