You may have missed this thriller series which was ranked in 83 countries around the world on Netflix. But don’t panic: the fiction which has accumulated 90 million hours viewed can be caught up in an afternoon.
The month of August 2024 on Netflix got off to a flying start with the release of Murder instructionsa British fiction which ranked number 1 of the most viewed series in France for several days. Inspired by the novel of the same name, the production immerses us in the life of Pippa “Pip” Fitz-Amobi who, for her end-of-studies project, chooses to investigate a local murder case: that of the assassination of ‘Andie Bell, a high school student. If the police and the town are convinced that Sal Singh is the perpetrator of the murder, Pip is not so sure. And she is determined to prove it. But if Sal is not the murderer, the one who really killed young Andie is still out there. If you like detective stories and haven’t seen it, you will have no trouble enjoying this series of six episodes, which can be watched in just 4h30.
Murder instructions : the star of Wednesday in the main role
Launched on August 1, the British series quickly met with success. And this, in particular thanks to its casting, led by Emma Myers. After Wednesdaywhere she lends her features to the tender Enid Sinclair, the 22-year-old actress plays the leading role, that of Pippa “Pip” Fitz-Amobi, a high school student ready to do anything to discover the real murderer of Andie Bell. At his side, we find Zain Iqbal, Asha Banks (The Magic Flute), Raiko Gohara and Jude Morgan-Collie, who play Ravi Singh, Cara Ward, Zach Chen and Connor Reynolds respectively. The actors Mathew Baynton (Ghosts), Anna Maxwell Martin (Motherland) as well as Henry Ashton (My Lady Jane) et Carla Woodcock (Tell Me Everything) complete the cast of this series directed by Dolly Wells and Tom Vaughan.

Released in November 2022, Tim Burton’s fiction immerses us in the life of Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) who, after being expelled from high school, is sent to Nevermore Academy, a prestigious establishment for outcasts, run by an iron fist by his mother’s former roommate. As she tries to adapt to the students, the teenager investigates a series of murders that terrorize the city of Jericho. Emma Myers plays Enid, Wednesday’s cheerful roommate. Faced with its enormous success, Netflix renewed for Wednesday for a second season, filming of which is currently taking place in Ireland.
