While the official release of Dragon Ball Daima is scheduled for next week, some Japanese fans had the chance to see the first episode in preview today, and the first reviews clearly make you want it.
More than promising first returns for episode 1 of Dragon Ball Daima
The fall 2024 season is finally launched for anime fans, and many titles are expected. On the program, we will notably find the continuation of very popular animes, with for example season 2 of Blue Lock or the third part of the final arc of Bleachtitled Thousand-Year Blood War. But there will also be new features, like DanDaDanas well as Dragon Ball Daima.
With a launch planned for October 11, 2024, Dragon Ball Daima is none other than the brand new anime of the franchise, plunging us into a totally original story imagined by the late Akira Toriyama, the creator of Dragon Ball. But before its official release, Japanese fans were able to see the first episode of the anime in preview during Dragon Ball Daimatsuri, an event which was held today at Tokyo Big Sight.

It’s been a while since Yashima-san was this involved as a member of the animation team, and as expected, character designers Nakatsuru-sans and Kubota-san were spot on.

I watched the first episode of Daima, and as you can see from the preview, if you are a fan of the Buu saga, you will be excited from start to finish. The Buu Saga is even more amazingly drawn than the incredible drawings in the original saga summary and the Cell Saga at the beginning of Super Hero. It also felt like the character from the original saga came back and spoke for the first time in a long time, and that was really awesome.
