In the next episodes of “More beautiful life, even more beautiful”, Barbara will announce to Thomas her desire to distance herself from Le Mistral. A hard blow for the restaurateur who sees his friends turn their backs on him.

Nothing is going well in the Mistral… While Kilian is in turmoil, the inhabitants of the small district of Marseille gradually begin to doubt his innocence. A few weeks ago Betty (Horya Benabet) made her comeback in Plus belle la vie, even plus belle. A return which rhymed with problems for Kilian (Tim Rousseau).

The young woman is indeed not ready to let her husband leave her. She indeed tried by all means to convince Kilian to stay with her, in vain. In an excess of madness, she even threatened Kilian to slit his veins.

And since last Thursday, Betty has been missing. If everything suggests that she committed suicide, the absence of a body and the conflict with Kilian strongly cast doubt on Ariane, who led the investigation. And when blood was discovered in the kitchen of the Mistral, the last place where Betty was seen, there was no longer any doubt for her: Kilian killed his ex-wife and made the murder look like suicide.

In this Thursday, May 2’s episode, Kilian will be placed in pre-trial detention so that the police can question him. And if Thomas (Laurent Kérusoré) and Aya continue to believe in the young man’s innocence, the inhabitants of Mistral will all gradually have doubts, to the point of turning their backs on the Marci brothers…

Barbara leaves the Mistral

In a extract from episode 86 of Plus belle la vie, encore plus belle, available on the TF1+ platform, Barbara (Léa François) announces bad news to Thomas. She was supposed to go to the auction this morning, but she ultimately didn’t go.

I’m not going to come back to work right away, actually.”, she tells him. Worried, Thomas asks her if she has a problem with Yaël. The cook then admits to him that she cannot work in a kitchen in which a woman was killed.

Faced with this revelation, Thomas gets angry. This means that, like the other inhabitants of Mistral, Barbara thinks that Kilian is guilty. “And the traces of blood that were found in my kitchen?” Barbara asks him.

For Thomas, Betty could very well have injured herself. The latter indeed has no limits. “The technique of blaming the victim, I don’t go into that, sorry” replies Barbara. Gabriel, who witnesses this scene, agrees with the cook.

He explains to her that they have the right to ask questions. “Kilian didn’t kill Betty!”, replied Thomas in tears. Gabriel has the impression that Thomas is repeating this sentence like a mantra, as if he was trying to convince himself. “Maybe it’s all an accident. Kilian panicked and hid the body” explains Gabriel to his husband.

But the latter doesn’t believe it. If that had been the case, his brother would have told the truth. Thomas then asks Barbara if she plans to return to Mistral one day or if she wants to resign. “I’m sorry Thomas, I really am…It’s just that I need a few days to think” she replies.

How will Thomas handle this departure? Alone against everyone, will he succeed in proving his brother’s innocence? According to the short summaries of the next episodes of Plus belle la vie, even plus belle, he will join forces with Djawad to lead the investigation. They will do this “surprising discoveries”. Will they succeed in changing the situation? Answer in the next episodes.
