The flaws of reality TV are numerous today. And their consequences are still felt years later for certain candidates. This is the case of Angèle Salentino.
The young woman was revealed in 2020 in the show Love Island on Prime Video. A reality show which had experienced a bitter failure but not enough to let Angèle Salentino return to anonymity.
The candidate had in fact joined the troop of Marseilleduring the fifth edition against The rest of the world. An appearance which resulted in the first clashes between Angèle Salentino and other reality TV stars.
Adventures punctuated by arguments
Strong tensions had arisen between her and Maëva Ghennam. The latter did not appreciate Angèle getting into a relationship with her ex, Greg Yega.
Angèle Salentino’s third and final participation will be during the fourth season of Angels Holidayspin-off of Reality TV Angels. A show that she left before the end of filming, due to big arguments with the couple Raphaël Pépin and Tiffany Gounin.
Animosity such that Angèle Salentino subsequently accused Raphaël Pépin of acts of psychological violence on her part. The candidate also confided that the young man had tried to raise his hands on her, during this filming of the derivative of Reality TV Angels.
A serious accusation which will push Raphaël Pépin to file a complaint for defamation. In December 2022, justice ruled in favor of the candidate, forcing Angèle Salentino to pay 12,000 euros in damages.
A big depression at the origin of his stay
A start to her career which will therefore have been of very little benefit to the young woman. To the point that it is now going through a very dark period. In a video republished on TikTok, we learn that Angèle Salentino is today interned in a psychiatric hospital.
“I suffered from depression so I am in a psychiatric hospital. I’m going out in a few weeks, I hope.”she admits from her room.

However, she affirms that this stay does her the greatest good, and that she is not surrounded only by “crazy people”. “It’s people like you and me. Anyone can stay in a psychiatric hospital. Especially in 2024, believe me. The real crazy people are out there. That’s how I see things “, nuances the former reality TV star.
It is not known how long the young woman has been interned. One thing is certain: this event once again relaunches the debate on mental health among reality TV candidates, sometimes faced with the worst.
