For the 52-year-old star, it all started at 6 years old. “A little after the birth of my sister Natalia. I was my father’s scapegoata kind of bag you hit when you’re in a bad mood or when you just want to gratuitously torture a defenseless human being.” she began.
At the time, Adriana Karembeu’s father did not hesitate to bang her head against the wall or throw her entire cupboard on the floor. “I know there’s worse, he didn’t sexually abuse me. He didn’t sequester me. He constantly told me: ‘If you only knew there are worse things than what you are experiencing.’ Of course, but what I experienced leaves its mark.” added the host. If he didn’t attack his sister, his father didn’t do anything in front of his mother either. Very busy, the latter didn’t understand the seriousness either. “She believed that you had to be hard on children to educate them well. She worked a lot, she prepared for her specialization in medicine, she took care of us, she cooked, made our clothes. My fate was going a little by the wayside.“said the victim.

Despite the violence she suffered on a daily basis, Adriana Karembeu always wanted to be perfect in her father’s eyes. “I tried to please my father. I knew that my grandparents, that my mother loved me but him… I tried to shine in his eyes so that he would apologize. If he had asked me for forgiveness, I would have accepted. He never did. I ended up cutting ties.” she confided.
When her book comes out, she doesn’t worry about what he might think. “My father won’t like it, that’s for sure. But I don’t really care. I am not going to take gloves with him, nor feel guilty like a victim in the face of my attacker. My father is not a poor sick person, he is a psychopath.” added Adriana Karembeu.
