The case is currently controversial. Brochures discussing homosexuality were removed from the International Book Fair.

It is UNFPA, the United Nations lead agency responsible for sexual and reproductive health issues, with an office in Tunis, which published these leaflets as part of an awareness campaign.

“We expressed our embarrassment about the content of these brochures and representatives of Unfpa were understanding and removed them from their stand,” Mohamed Salah Kadri, technical director of the 38th edition of the Fair, told AFP. Tunis Book International.

Still according to AFP, “these brochures, produced in collaboration with the Tunisian Association for Health and Reproduction, explain to parents how to answer their children’s questions about sexuality.”

Note that this UN agency has not communicated anything to this effect.

It should be remembered that article 230 of the penal code condemns “sodomy” and “male and female homosexuality”.
