Descriptive text here

“Children, babies, they call them little ones. And it’s true that they are little things. That they are a little of their mother, a little of their father, a little of grandparents, a little of those who died so long ago. Everything they transmitted to them, hid, invented. All. It’s not always easy to be a small whole, to have so many stories, so many people, to succeed in silencing them to invent yet another little thing of your own. »
On a farm, the story is reproduced from generation to generation: we take care of the animals, we live with them, those in the stable and those ruminating in the heads. Painted from life, in small touches, lives are duplicated in gradients facing the animals who have an entire landscape to graze. Marion Fayolle creates a striking world whose brutal poetry reveals what is printed through the faults, through family wounds, as in the hollows of intaglio engravings.

The bookseller’s opinion:

“Marion Fayolle has been lighting up the artistic sky with her drawings for years now. When it comes to telling your family, suddenly drawing is no longer enough. Then the words flow and the novel is born. In the smell of peels and fatty milk, this powerful novel will make your heart beat hard. »
