The plateau of C to you was particularly hectic this Tuesday evening! Anne-Élisabeth Lemoine invited, in addition to her usual collaborators, the trio starring in the comedy Never confess, to be found in theaters tomorrow, Wednesday April 24. André Dussollier thus once again forms a couple with Sabine Azéma, his eternal playing partner. But for their twelfth film together, a third member – Thierry Lhermitte – plays the troublemaker and offers a unique love triangle to the spectators. Invited to look back one by one on their long career, these actors revealed a funny anecdote.
Thierry Lhermitte messes with André Dussollier
Emilie Tran Nguyen confronted the emblematic duo of French comedy with an archive dating from August 23, 1986. André Dussollier and Sabine Azéma were interviewed by Christophe Dechavanne in his show All crazy about him and the 40-year-old actor at the time said: “Yes, comedy is a lie (…) [et] since I have made this desire to lie a profession, I no longer need to lie in life”. A statement which more than four decades later was well worth an explanation! If the septuagenarian qualified his remarks by emphasizing that not all the actors were “mythomaniacs”to use the words of the columnist, his lifelong accomplice proved that Thierry Lhermitte sometimes confused fiction and reality… “The other day, he made a journalist who interviewed us believe that André was deaf”she said to the instant laughter of the people on set.

Sabine Azéma flies to the aid of André Dussollier by also making a blunder
Thierry Lhermitte was obviously encouraged to say more about this elaborate lie. “[C’était] just for the pleasure of laughing! I do the interview first, André comes after me. I say to the guy, ‘Listen, I’m going to do you a favor, André, who is coming, can’t hear very well, you have to speak to him a little loudly like that'”indicated the star of Tanned by raising his voice at the end of his speech. And Sabine Azéma adds: “Thierry confided this to me and when I saw the journalist, I said to him ‘You didn’t have too many problems with Thierry because he is deaf’. I got mixed up! But that’s joked, it’s not lying at all.” Nuance is important!
