The death of a 62-year-old patient, hospitalized at the Pineta Grande Hospital in Castel Volturno, after a brain hemorrhage, became a way to help others. The family members consented to the organ donation and Pineta Mare staff carried out the extraction. Liver, corneas and kidneys will be intended for other patients in the Campania region, currently waiting for a transplant. In the province of Caserta, organ donation is at the center of an important cooperative action between a public body and an accredited health structure and to reaffirm the importance of synergy between public and private, there is the director of the ASL of Caserta Amedeo Blasotti and the president of the Pineta Hospital hospital center Vincenzo Schiavone. The ASL of Caserta, reports a note, is the second entity in the region for the number of donations after the Cardarelli of Naples, with the hospitals of Sessa Aurunca and Aversa.
